Since 1963, this traditional activity is today provided by ECM Technologies and counts for more than 1500 carburizing furnaces delivered worldwide for a large scale application
For more than 15 years, ECM Technologies has been confirming their worldwide leadership in the construction of Low Pressure carburizing Case Hardening carburizing Furnaces for automotive mass production and provides an efficient Service throughout the world (Europe, Japan, USA, Latin America, China etc.). Over 170 installations of this type are currently in service in the 5 continents of the world.
This acknowledged know-how is the result of 50 years of experience in the design of vacuum furnaces used in high added value heat treatment furnace applications.
Today, there is plenty of good news that allows ECM Technologies to look forward to the future with optimism and ambition .....
For components subject to distortion, ECM Technologies has developed StepGQ . StepGQ is a 3-step gas quenching principle, achieved by adjusting the two parameters of ECM Technologies gas quenching: gas pressure and mixing rate. The key innovation is to mark a step – a few seconds pause – during the cooling process, before austenite starts transforming in martensite (Ms point). Temperature is then homogenized within the part: this prevents excessive temperature difference between surface and core, a residual stress factor as steel structure changes...
